About Us

     Solutions Medical Billing Inc. was founded in October 1994 by mother and dauthter Alice Scott and Michele Redmond. We started our business with local clients in the Utica/Rome area of central New York. As we grew we became closely involved with helping other billers suceed. Today we bill for many providers all over the country but especially enjoy helping billers and office personel by writing books on medical billing topics.

     Solutions is a small family run business with a mission to help others - both doctors to run profitable businesses, billing services to succeed and our employees to thrive.

The Family

Michele Redmond - Vice-president and founder

Michele worked for a major insurance company many years after graduating college with a degree in computer science. Upon her decision to have children she decided she wanted to work where she could raise her children. In 1994 she and Alice founded Solutions Medical Billing. She is our "insurance and computer authority" and is the moderator of our forum on MedicalBillingLive.com.

Zachary Ketchum - General Manager & Vision Claims Specialist

Zack is our General Manager and vision claims specialist handling all our vision accounts. He has worked for Solutions Medical Billing for over ten years. Zack is also Alice's grandson and Michele's nephew. His love of the medical billing field brought him to New York State to work summers as a teenager.  Zack knew as a teenager he wanted to work here at Solutions.

Paul Scott - Director of Child Care, Office Maintenance, Courier

Paul gave up his full time job in 2005 to care for the daily needs of Rebecca. He takes Rebecca to school. Paul also makes our weekly "runs" to the Utica and Rome area to pick up work from our providers.  He remodels and maintains our offices. In the summer Paul takes the girls on hikes and mountain trails.
